Adelaide Sailing Club is a Discover Sailing Centre and offers Tackers as a pathway into the sport of sailing

All of our courses are run by our team of fully Qualified Tackers Instructors and are designed to teach your children in a fun and safe environment. 

All equipment is supplied and each course equals 20 hours of tuition.

It is all about building skills and friendships while also making sure children are developing confidence and good techniques.

Tackers Intro - 5 hour Introduction session

Tackers Intro is a special experience for Tackers that allows you to sample the program before you make a decision about enrolling in a Tackers 1 – Having Fun course. It’s not a pre-requisite to Tackers 1, but it will give kids the chance to get out on the water and see the type of games and activities that Tackers offer.

The Tackers Intro includes a 5 hour session with a qualified Instructor and an Assistant Instructor and offers a certificate of achievement. 

If kids enjoy the Tackers Intro then Tackers 1 - Having Fun is a great next step.

Tackers 1 - Having Fun

Tackers 2 - Tricks & Techniques

After completing either Tackers 1 or a level 1 certificate course it’s time to develop your skills and perfect your sailing technique. 20 hours tuition with our team of fully Qualified Tackers Instructors and free club membership for the duration of the course along with a presentation for you, your family and friends on completion . Just like Tackers 1 this course is lots of fun.

Tackers 3  - Sailing Fast

After completing Tackers 2 you have all the skills needed for Tackers 3 - Sailing Fast. Learn about the fun of racing, and sailing your boat fast, it's a great introduction to club sailing. 20 hours tuition, Boat, Safety Equipment along with a Certificate Presentation for you, your family and your friends. Free club membership for the duration of the course.

Tackers Birthday Parties  

Looking for a party idea for active and adventurous kids.Throw the most awesome kids birthday party ever ! Birthday parties at the Adelaide Sailing Club are tailored to suit you.The cost includes 2 hrs of supervision/Instruction by our qualified Tackers Instructors.The Instructors will have the perfect party plan in place upon your arrival with the perfect mix of fun and games along with a little bit of learning and a few races.
