ASC Strategic Plan

Published Fri 21 May 2021

In July 2020 ASC Board and Committee engaged with Martin Pike of KSM Advisory to draw up a strategic plan for the Adelaide Sailing Club.

It is with pleasure that I can now release our Club’s new strategic plan. Last year, as our new operating model with our hospitality partner Oceanique became bedded down, the Board of Management decided that we needed to develop a plan to guide the recovery of our club to a more sustainable future. Thanks to the vision and hard work of our previous and current Boards we have recovered from a difficult financial situation a few short years ago and we are now in a much better position. However, the needs for investment in our club are many and our resources are still very restrained. We have made some significant and much needed repairs to our club this year but there is much more to do, as well as continuing and improving our sailing and services to members. With these complex demands in mind the Board in partnership with the Committee of Management, and assisted by KSM Advisory, has developed the Adelaide Sailing Club Strategic Plan 2021. The plan identifies five strategic themes and associated areas of action. The Board and the Committee will now use these to guide our decisions on behalf of the club. We are confident that with continued discipline, wise investments and the active support of all our members, our club will continue to grow and thrive.
