Sailability

Welcome to the sailing season for 2010 – 2011.   Here are the Sailability dates for the Summer season with a 12 midday start until 3 or 4 in the afternoon. Thanks to the Office of Sport and Recreation, this Summer Adelaide Sailing Club has four Access 3.03 two person dinghies and two single-handed Liberty Access dinghies for experienced sailors. Future sailors go out with an experienced sailor in the 2-person 3 metre dinghy and have one-on-one instruction; life jackets are provided. Family and friends are welcome to go out in the powered rescue craft to take photographes. All you need to bring with you is a light jacket, hat and sunscreen and a sense of humour!   There is a hoist on the pontoon to transfer from your chair to the dinghy and shade on the uper deck to keep empty wheelchairs out of the sun.  The clubhouse is open for lunch and is fully assessable.   Sailability is free for members of Sailability SA and there is a $5 cost for casual sailors.   Give Deirdre a call a couple of days before the date so we can ensure that you have plenty of time on the water.
