All sailors have moments where they are left wondering, not knowing where they lost that race or what they needed to focus on to improve.  Were they sailing higher, faster or both?  What were their comparative VMG’s?  What distance did they sail on that beat compared to me?  Did they get a lift when they were on the other side of the course?  How fast do they come off a tack?
